Depends on the issue you want to study, I will assume you want something that is not a book text, I choose novels, plays, essays and edited collections. I'll take what I know: Political Science - The Power of Nonviolence by Howard Zinn (collection testing by the Buddha, Jane Addams, Thomas Merton, and others on non-violence, pacifism and peaceful protest) Theater - The Riverside Shakespeare, edited by Baker, Barton, et al. (all known works of Shakespeare) anything pertaining to culture - by Arthasastra Kautilya (written by Machiavelli, is the quintessential Indian guide the decision of an country, awesome stuff) Management - Leadership in the Police Department: Walk the Line by Renford Reese (VERY interesting read, even if you do not care about the Police Department, the police in general or management. I love this book.).
