Adolescents have better things to do than read a book. This is something I have said again and again. In fact, most think. They are active in sports. They study hard and still more difficult. There is little time for a good book.

You are not doing any favors by letting them tell their children that do not have time to read. The very bright Students today are those who grew up with a book in his hand. Students who succeed academically are those who like to read. The trick is, you have to allow your child to read what they want to read but not something you want to read.

The way to encourage any young person reading a good book to ensure that the person reading a book thought to be interesting. If it's something that will be interested in reading, and then go to sit and take the time to read it. You, as a parent, you must understand that their girls would want to read a good romance and your child may want to read about the horror or some other item that does not really want to read as a teenager. Okay. While the book is an adult title targeting youth and young adults, book in hand. Let's read!

The Harry Potter books were obviously a great success among adolescents. The world Harry Potter captivated readers of all ages to explore another world. Young adults were attracted not say anything to the pages of an exciting adventure never wanted to leave. The Twilight series of books has surpassed Harry Potter as the new sensation among preteens and teens and adults who still enjoy reading books for younger people. With the first book being made into a successful film series is beginning to attract further attention. The only film will tell the story of the first book, but after three books (one and another on the way!)

The first book is titled simply Twilight and it sets up the story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. That is the heart of this is a story about the unlikely romance between Bella and Edward. What makes it so difficult? Edward is a vampire who has more than 100 years (although in reality it is very young for a vampire!) Bella on the other hand is just a girl aged 17. But while that Edward is over 100 years, it seems too 17 and 17 will be provided, because this is the age when he became a vampire. Yes, this is how works!

The books second, third and fourth is called New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I do not want to give a synopsis of each book, as it would give too much away.

There is a planned fifth novel by the author Stephanie Meyer. The 5th book is not really an extension of history, but rather a different view of history. The four books are told through the perspective of Breaking Dawn Bella and tell the same story through the eyes of Edward.

While this is an interesting literary device (Did you ever read The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner?) That are not likely to be ripe for a film adaptation, but perhaps if the movies Twilight do as well as the Harry Potter movie studios will go ahead with it anyway!

The movie version Twilight stars Robert Pattinson as the vampire Edward and Kristen Stewart as Bella. Robert Pattinson has become an idol for many girls (and some older girls really should know better.)

First called attention Pattinson as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Kristen Stewart has been in films like "Panic Room 2002 (she was the daughter of Jodie Foster) and 2007 Into the Wild (which is a very good film indeed.)

If you like the "young adult" fiction and, in particular, young adult fiction romantic then it may well enjoy these books. It will not be for everyone to enjoy Harry Potter (which I think has a wider audience), but if they like the Harry Potter may be an indication he would like these books too.

Py: How to get your pen name as Maruerite Arotin?

Marguerite: My real name is Dana, but when I decided to write novels, I always knew Dana would be too unisex for the romance market. So I thought in my nickname. My grandmother called me Daisy and finally picked up my husband too. Marguerite is French for Daisy and I am part of France, so I said . Arotin was my late mother's maiden name of the law, so I took the name in honor of her and also that ran very well with Marguerite. I will be marketing all the books under the pseudonym of Marguerite Arotin.

Py: When did you start reading romance novels?

Margaret: It was right after I met my husband I took my first romance novel. I think meeting someone so perfect for me taught me that true love exists and that maybe I always thought romance novels were so corny that could be realized. But then I met Phil and attraction I hit like a ton of bricks. I can not imagine any other type that can meet my needs as all you can and I would hate to meet any another man but him. Since I was a bit of history nut, I picked up a historical by Linda Lael Miller and then got addicted to this genre.

Believe or not, before I met my husband, Philip, I was a bit of a young cynic when it came to romance and relationships. When I met Phil I was nineteen years old and before that, so I seemed to end with a bunch of jerks. At least I had a sense of humor of my social life sad: I told everyone that well could take a lot of cats and is the world's youngest spinster.

Py: What inspired you to write their story of romance, the daughter of Locktender's?

Margaret: It was not until the unthinkable happened when my husband lost his job and only had a baby, who even considered writing my own novel romantic. I've always loved the local history of Ohio. I walk the trail former towpath wondering what life was like back when mules pulled boats through the canal of murky water. It occurred to me for some notes for a story I wanted to write a historical novel Located on the Ohio and Erie Canal, and decided I would write. When my husband found another job, I was too caught up in history to stop writing. As I learned more about my business, I found notice how the hell MS was completed first and decided that it was not worth reviewing. But that story, a sequel was established, called the daughter of Locktender, and I loved that story. I knew I had enough experience yet to try a large print publishing house or even an agent, but I have submitted my story to pressing a few e-book/POD and daughter TheLocktender found a house with wings.

Py: Any tips for writers of romance?

Margarita: I learned that everyone has their own writing and the techniques they must use what works best for them. Some people just let history to roam freely and others tend to go out and not complete all the contours. I do a mixture of both.

I should add here how important it is to never give up their dream. It took me over two years from the filing of the Locktender's daughter before she found a home for it. I knew I had a great story, I knew my heart. I loved Bethany and Tyler too to give them up. Writing is one of the toughest jobs out there and the rejection letters can hurt. But there to put aside and remember that the people behind the rejections, agents, editors, etc. are not rejecting you, and if you love your story and characters enough, you have to keep trying no matter what. I did and I found a great home for Bethany and Tyler .

I do post free extracts in my MySpace blog from time to time and have been posting much lately about my teenage witch for my NaNoWriMo project NOW. I am also going to run around a May contest in conjunction with the release of my story, I have no idea what I'm going to do yet, but probably have something to do with the History Channel.

Historical Romance Novels / books - avid readers?

I am a crazy fan of Historical Romance books and I have a collection of over more 200 books. I personally would recommend the books by the following authors ..... Connie Mason, Iris Johansen, Johanna Lindsey, Joan Johnston, Julie Garwood, ER AMY, Linda Howard, Lisa Kleypas, Nicole Jordan, Ronda Thompson & Stephanie Laurens. My collection is so vast, they have a majority in storage because it does not fit in my room, now! LOL I have some of Connie, I love you "by Johanna Mallory" in series and have most of them, Jude Deveraux are good, I have a lot of other artists, but my favorites are Nora Roberts (part of it are more in the romance and less on the story, but still make great reading) and Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. I heartily recommend it. I have all her books and all are very well written. Check a look at these websites, write down some titles, and then run to your local library or bookstore! Christian Book romance not for men?

I get my boyfriend a book to read, but he doesn't like romance. Christian i prefer something we are both Christians, when I say Christian, I mean something that is conservative and God, I like books by Lori Wick, but it is the romance that is not what I need
