No Digital SLR Photography Books?

I'm looking for some non-focused digital SLR photography books. I found a highly recommended / rated books however, all focused on using digital SLR cameras. I am currently using the Canon PowerShot G9 and am trying to learn to take some pictures better, instead of pulling the car - as iv been doing. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

You can probably get many of the books of reflex digital. I like point and shoot and a Canon digital SLR camera, and both have manual and semi-manual settings (M, P, Tv, etc.). Try read the manual, play with the settings, and read books from the DSLR. Are there good basic books on photography beginners?

I just bought a Canon A630 and I would like to try the photo again professional (most just, you know, on vacation, point and shoot things) but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I think it would be a fun hobby, but I do not really have any idea how to start.

PC or Mac for digital photography? please give some details and some suggetion hard disk and RAM needed?

I'm trying to migrate to digital photography from film and would like to get some indicator that note book PC to buy and how much to spend. It's so confusing because of changes in the media digital computer. Since the external hard drive prices have fallen so far! Do I have to apply for a biger internal hard drive with my notebook or small and get the disc external hard drive. I'm in portrait photography.

PC or Mac, so it comes down to personal preference, I would go with an Apple computer, despite claims your processor is faster PowerPC G4, I do not see and have many more options as far as software on a PC. You get more power for your money on a computer portable PC. You could get a laptop for $ 1,000, but I want something with a little more power. As you go specifications must look to something with at least 1GB of RAM, something in the area of the hard disk of 100 GB and a 2.0 GHz processor or better. You also want a 15.4 "to 17". This covers the hardware, you also should consider the image editing software like Photoshop, but most people do not want to pay for it.
