While there have been cameras freelance photographers who have been, but how digital photographer has changed the way photographers work independent? Since there is no longer a need to develop prints, is much easier for a person to enter the field of photography. With only a handheld camera, a photographer can independently make their way around the many events that offer photography services for less cost than professional photographers. That does not mean that the photographer independent is not a professional, but since he or she does not have the overhead of an office in particular, can be much more competitive in their prices.
With Today most small and compact digital cameras, a freelance photographer can make their way around to different events even without being noticed. Many times is a freelance photographer at the scene of an accident ready and willing to take photos and provide the perspective of insurance companies for a small fee. Many of the photographs found in the regular social events have been provided by independent photographers instead of the staff photographers. When professional cameras used to be bulky and heavy to carry around less likely to find a photographer to take the camera and find a place to use their skills.
The greatest impact of digital photography has had in the freelance photographer has been the cost. With the need for expensive equipment and darkroom not required, many more people can afford to become freelance photographers. It has become a part-time job of choice for many of those who enjoy taking pictures, "that the regular work jobs and explore different events for the opportunity to take some photos and sell their services. Unlike camera snapshots of the 60's and 70's, digital photos do not disappear over time or require special solutions for developing photographs.
With future innovations in digital photography, it is possible that most amateur photographers will learn the skills necessary to become professionals and sell services in their local areas. How much of an impact this may have on the professional photographer will only show over time. It is unlikely that there will be a impact on the professional photography studio, this is an area that is far from that of the independent photographer who tends to prefer social events and scenes type newsworthy.

No Digital SLR Photography Books?
I'm looking for some non-focused digital SLR photography books. I found a highly recommended / rated books however, all focused on using digital SLR cameras. I am currently using the Canon PowerShot G9 and am trying to learn to take some pictures better, instead of pulling the car - as iv been doing. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
You can probably get many of the books of reflex digital. I like point and shoot and a Canon digital SLR camera, and both have manual and semi-manual settings (M, P, Tv, etc.). Try read the manual, play with the settings, and read books from the DSLR. The Books DSLR can say a lot about the depth of field, composition, lighting, shutter speed, and other characteristics of digital SLR which also apply to Canon point and shoot cameras that have manual settings. Basically, the only thing you will not be able to do is focus manually, and change the 35 mm lens, which most (if not all) point and shoot cameras have. Because of this, and for point and shoot cameras have an image sensor much smaller, you lose some control over depth of field, but you can still get good effects using his body to "zoom" (closer or further away) in combination with digital zoom. Anyway, I do not know any point and shoot camera books, but books SLR still a wealth of information for you. EDIT: I googled the camera and see that it has an optical zoom that can be exchanged for other objectives. This means you can actually get some books DSLRs. I suggest even more strongly to continue the translation Information on your DSLR camera functions more basic.
